Galaxy s6 texting issues

My wife just got an s6 (I have an s4) we don't have good service in our area, and when she tries to send a text it fails immediately (mine keeps trying until it can go through) is there a way to change how long or how many attempts it tries before it will fail? I thought I saw where mine can be adjusted somewhere(and it could've been my old phone), but I can't find that option on hers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It finally lined out on it's own, must have needed a little time after being activated.
