Galaxy S6 USB connection trouble with Windows 10

All you need to do with new windows 10 not detecting Android phone is, install below two KBs and restart.
Step1. install: 'KB3010081' ---> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3010081
Restart
Step 2. install: 'KB3099229'---> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3099229
Restart
And you are done. Open My computer and you will see MTP logical drive in there.
After one more reboot, you may see your phone model/ make as drive label.
Thanks and enjoy!

I had the same problem on windows 10.
I try using to put the cable in the 2.0 usb and it did work fine with me.
It was connecting all the time i was going mad.
Now i can see my galaxy s6 in the Computer screen.:cool::cool:

You are so spot on. After many different avenues, downloads etc, I read your comment, changed the cable and hey presto.....connected.

I'm running in to this problem too. Even with developer options enabled I can't get the computer to recognize my phone. I talked to Samsung's technical support this morning and they suggested doing a factory reset. Of course that means losing everything. I do have my photos backed up to Google photos, but would really prefer to not have to re-download certain pictures, documents, etc.

When I first got the phone, I had no problems and thinking about it, I'm wondering if the problem started when the 6.01 updated was installed? Perhaps when Nougat is pushed to the phone it'll resolve problem.
