Galaxy S7 audio cuts out, how can I stop this?

Re: Galaxy S7 audio cuts out

Piffs, when speaker cuts out, try bending phone (slightly!) While holding horizontally, use palm/thumbs on bezels and apply pressure to back with fingers. Like snapping a piece of wood or a stick. See if sound returns

Yes it does but with what is helping me?

Now I'm on my Nokia 222 as a basic phone until I decide what I shall do next. This is to stressful.

Re: Galaxy S7 audio cuts out

Just to prove hardware vs software issue to samsung. But I doubt they are listening

Re: Galaxy S7 audio cuts out

Missed two phone calls today due to sound cut out

Well, they are not able to admit this even if they know, and they sure know. That will mean they will be forced to call back xxxxxxx phones, and they can't accept that, even if its their fault.

Re: Galaxy S7 audio cuts out

They could so easily rule apple iphone. But obviously some leadership issues.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed at a local gsm service at a cost? Is the hardware problem provenience known?

FIXED... KIND OF.
This sounds stupid but just try it because it worked for me. Anytime I played a video through my speaker, it would randomly cut out and come back. I read about how to fix it on another thread. You need to smack the back of the phone, bottom right side, on your hand or knuckle when it cuts out. I grab the top right corner of the phone and smack the bottom right corner on the palm of my hand or knee at a medium strength and BAM it works. Just try it and you will see. Let me know if this helps. I made this account just for this so I can share it.

I don't know what happened, but my problems are gone since one week. The only things I changed are a couple of new apps and I havn't restarted my phone for a week.

See my previous post about applying pressure to back of phone.
Basically same as u are doing. Has to be an internal hardware problem.

I normally don't post but I found a fix and I want you all to have it. It's super weird. All I did was hit the lower back of my phone against my knee a couple times. I read that hitting it or pressing it fixed it and thought, no way. But it worked!

Let us know if the problem re occurs. When I apply pressure to the back, like about bend the phone it goes away. Ill try your method. I wonder how many s7 and s8 have this issue.

So this problem has been happening to me for the last 2 weeks. Ive searched and tried everything reasonable it seems. The only thing that seems to work is this pressure trick...bending it specifically. how god damned lame. ive been incredibly frustrated with android ergonomics, and the samsung in general- over heats, generally slow ui, and people cant hear me well.

I have tried all the solutions throughout this thread and none worked. However, i found a solution of my own and it has worked so far. The solution being plugging in my headphones into the headphone jack and then unplugging them. Kind of a simple solution and it has worked for me for about the last month and a half to 2 months.... Let me know if this works for anyone else.

I don't mean to be harsh, but I rely on my alarms to wake up in the morning. I'm in somewhat of a panic because I believe I may have been fired from work (no news yet.) I've been having the youtube audio cutting in and out issue since I got my s7 active from att almost a year ago. I updated to A7.0 when it was first available, same issue. I've turned off all stupid settings that might interfere with audio notifications (ie. easy mute, haptic feedback, etc...) I've scoured my os for settings dealing with audio and notifications. I've scoured my apps for settings dealing with audio and notifications. Starting one week ago, I noticed my volume settings were seemingly tampered with. System volume was low, media volume was muted, notifications volume was low. I chocked it up to pocket fidgeting. No. 4 days ago, I woke up late for work. I looked at my phone and all volume sliders were muted, my alarms had been switched OFF. Again, I chocked it up to pocket fidgeting and got a stern warning from my supervisor that morning. TODAY, I woke up late again. No notification that I had missed an alarm. No snoozes. I tested a new alarm set for a minute or two after activating it. No sound, vibration only. I looked at my volume settings, all were turned up high. I was on the phone was Samsung for about an hour and zero progress. Now I have one question for all of you who think this is a hardware issue; how in the h**l am I supposed to flex the back of my phone in my sleep? Flexing the back of my s7 Active or putting pressure on it whatsoever does not bring the sound back one iota.

OMG!!! This solved also my Audio Problem on my galaxy S7 edge. I was having 2months no sound, than again approximatly 2months sound and a few minutes no sound. I thought my s view cover was generating this problem, but maybe it was the pressure of the cover ;-) Big thanks to you dude!!!! But i think i'm gonna replace my device or let it repair because it isn't normal!

I fixed mine by replacing the speaker. Parts cost about £12. I think it had a lot to do with the contact on the motherboard. It's just 2 pins on a contact plate so easily damaged if you put to much pressure on the corner.

I had the same problem with my phone. I changed the bandwith to 5.0 and it fixed the problem. This is using Wi-Fi. I had it at 2.5 before.

Hey guys,

I've had my Galaxy S7 for almost two months out and the last few weeks the sound keeps cutting out. This doesn't happen whenever I get called or get a text, but only when I try to watch a video either on YouTube or Facebook or one that's on my phone. The sound will play for only 2 seconds when it stops. It also happens when I try to set a ringtone.

Does anyone know what's going on? Is this common? I really don't want to send it in for repairs.

I had the same thing goin on until I uninstalled the Samsung Music App seems it was controlling the Audio
