Galaxy S7 audio cuts out, how can I stop this?

Hi. I have an older Galaxy (J7) phone. Recently the audio started cutting in and out while I'm on calls only. I know it's not a reception problem as my husband has the same phone and this never happens to him. This problem is getting progressively worse. Any suggestions? Thx.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this also happen on speakerphone, or using wired or Bluetooth headphones?

Yes, it happens on speaker phone. I don't use earphones so don't know if it does.

I mean headphones.

Ok -- this is a pretty long thread, so have you already read through it? It sounds like a problem that didn't necessarily have a good solution.

Does it happen in Safe Mode as well? https://www.t-mobile.com/support/de...he Power,until the device finishes restarting.
