Galaxy S7 Screen timeout settings question

I have the Galaxy S7 and have gone into the settings menu to change the screen timeout (for which is 0 seconds) and set it for 5 minutes. Why is that my phone still times out after 30 seconds when the setting is set to 5 minutes? please help.
