I really dislike the more pronounced curve. Anything intended for flat surfaces (games, reading, web, video, etc) is distorted and makes the space near useless for those applications. Also problematic to protect the device and have a case that does not block the display. The Note 7 was borderline with it's curve and I appreciate a flat display more when went back to my Note 4. Seriously, it is a 6.2" display with about 5.7" actually non-distorted. Bigger footprint and no home button all so Samsung can spec tout. Yeah, you can get apps that use the curve, but I see no advantage over the same apps from a side swipe away. Most curve access apps also require side swiping, so makes the advantage of the curve less apparent overall.
Only reason I would get this is if the display uses RGB pixels instead of Pentile. Then it would be a nice feature for Gear VR (gets rid of screen door). If has Pentile, it will have same screen door issues as the current displays. AMOLED is great for Gear VR, but Pentile pixels are not.
