Galaxy S8 keeps refreshing after notification

[Android Central Question]

Ever since I've bought the Galaxy Watch, my phone has been acting weird. Whenever I receive a notification while using the phone (browsing Facebook, Instagram, watch movies) my phone briefly freezes up and refreshes whichever app I may be using. I am 1000% confident that the Galaxy Watch is the culprit but even after disconnecting the watch (and powering it off), the problems persist.

Any help?
