Galaxy S8+ U.S. Unlocked version not getting 4G LTE on AT&T only 4G

I am unable to get lte speed like my iphone 7 on same carrier.

I have an unlocked s8+ model sm-g955fd i am using with att

im getting like 3-4 mbps on a good day

did all the trouble shooting that att told :

factory reset, set apn setting for nextgenphone, reset network settings

nothing work

Welcome to Android Central! AT&T uses bands 2, 4, 5, and 17, but the primary band is 17: Cheat sheet: which 4G LTE bands do AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint use in the USA?. Your phone model supports bands 2, 4, and 5, but not 17: Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Duos SM-G955FD - Specs - Phone More. This might be why you're having issue. Ask AT&T if they know which bands are available in your area.

AT&T will cap unlocked versions of non-branded to 3m. The exact same phone bought from at&t will get 22m download. Also, unlocked phones won't get WiFi calling, which realistically it's not anything to brag about. One would believe a company would be happy you're using WiFi to make a call to save their precious bandwidth. Now that 5g is slowly moving forward, maybe unlocked phones will get 4m download, while branded phones will get 1g speeds! Pathetic
