I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic from amazon. It is the Bluetooth model not cellular.
During setup there was no region option for United States.

I spent an hour on chat with those (*****). They had no idea what was going on. Anyway, I wanted to return it but they would only use whole foods and the closest is 40 minutes.

At this point I decided with try anything. So I selected the first country, I think it was Argentina.

It then proceeded with setup. The watch appears to be working but sometimes the watch shows no notifications when there are notifications on my S21 Ultra.

Any idea what is going on ?

FYI, I moved this from the original Galaxy Watch forum to the Watch6 forum.

Mine (bought from Walmart) was exactly like that! I ended up using Puerto Rico because it's at least a US territory. Pretty shady stuff, I think.

Was the seller Amazon itself or some 3rd party? I tend to avoid buying anything tech related or high end from 3rd party sellers and stick to only Amazon itself.

I found out the seller is not Samsung. The item was misleading. It showed the same watch as on the sameung site, same model and everything. It showed "Visit Samsung" on the top.
But I noticed later that the very bottom of the amazon listing showed "sold by" and another seller.

Amazon refused to help and any way. Support had no clue, then again amazon support never does. They also wanted me to drive 40 minutes onw-way to return it.

I checked the Samsung store page and selected the Galaxy Watch Classic, 47mm, silver and bluetooth/WiFi. The model is the same as the one I bought SM-R960

How can I use this expensive paperweight ?

Can you use the health features, such as ECG, blood pressure, or whatever it is ?
I tried it with the first region as an option and none of that worked. It told me what feature is not available in the selected region

So it sounds like you have an international version locked to South America, not intended for the US.

I don't understand why Amazon wants you to drive 40 miles to a Whole Foods Store for a return. Besides Whole Foids, you usually have the option to use a UPS Store, Kohls, Staples, maybe others. It's been awhile since I've return an item.

As a note, the Blood Pressure feature hasn't been approved by the FDA in the US, so that wouldn't work anyway.

Sorry you have to go through this.
