Just saw watch was disconnected from phone (LTE version). I clicked to reconnect and message came up and said had to update phone to connect. Clicked OK then phone said had to reset watch an watch reset. Thats a pain. Better notice would have been nice. Anyone else get this?

I just did that update but it didn't reset my non-LTE watch. Just updated and paried.

It didn't reset my GW 46mm Bluetooth either...just updated and paired too

Wierd, luckily I had a recent backup to restore from. It didn't ask if I wanted to reset it just did it.

This happened to me as well. What's strange is that my Samsung Pay app on my watch is now in a constant state of updating (it's been updating for half an hour now), and so I can't use it.

Also, did Spotify just disappear from the Galaxy Store!? When I restored my watch data, Spotify wasn't there despite all of my other apps being properly restored. I can't find it anywhere on the app store either.

I've tried a hard reset and all that stuff. Did anyone have this problem and successfully resolve it?

Verizon LTE 46mm here... Updated without a hitch, no reset at all for any apps, no connectivity loss across LTE, Bluetooth (no re-pairing needed), wifi connections and networks all still memorized and there etc.

Update on my end: Samsung Pay finally started working after another watch reset (not factory) and waiting another several minutes for the app update. However, I still can't find Spotify on the app store. What the heck just happened!?

BTW, I've got the T-Mobile watch.

Another update: I solved the Spotify problem by downloading the app from my app history in the Galaxy Store. What a weird issue...

My LTE watch did not reset but I could not at first get the update started from the app. I had to go to the Google play store and open it up from there and then it updated.

My watch reset unfortunately. Luckily, I had a recent backup, as well. I like that the app is black now. Looks much better.

My Galaxy Watch reset this morning also do to an update to the Gear app on my phone. Unfortunately, I have not been able to restore my GW from a backup I made on Friday. I can see in the Gear app on the phone that it is doing a restore and it says it completed. But nothing indicates that it is getting restored on the watch the whole time it was doing it. Very frustrating!
