Gallery vs Google Photos sync issue

I used to be able to for example delete a photo in google photos and it would automatically be deleted in my regular Samsung gallery. Now....Samsung gallery does not mirror the same things happening in google photos.

Anyone experiencing this? Any fix?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you deleting the photo locally in Google Photos, or from your Google Photos cloud?

"Samsung Gallery" seems to not exactly mirror what;s synced to Google. (Samsung wants the user to use OneDrive - which doesn't sync pictures on the SD card.) Converting to Google Gallery (same app without Samsung's fingerprints) still works the way it's supposed to.

Once you open gallery tap 3 dots upper right corner on very top sync with Samsung account toggled on

If the photos are being synced to your Samsung cloud, then deleting from the phone and/or from the Google Photos cloud wouldn't affect it in the Samsung cloud. If your Samsung Gallery app is syncing with the Samsung cloud, that might be why only that gallery app is still showing the picture.
