I have the V20 also and it's a solid device. Not as smooth as the Pixel but still pretty solid. A lot smoother than the Note 7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. I'm sure Nougat has something to do with that.
I have the s7 edge us version with snap dragon and its very laggy especially with text messaging and mms. I am not a fan of the curved edges either, it makes the phone hard to hold and the phone is such a fingerprint magnet. I have the gold, silver is even worse! I can't keep any part of the phone clean for more than 5min I am constantly wiping it with a cloth. It's a gorgeous phone, when no one touches it!I had a exynos s7 edge that was super smooth. That phone with nougat would prob be just as impressive. I hate that Samsung doesn't use exynos in the US.
Absolutely .
Have the Pixel, got the return label, packed it.
Started using a different phone.......
Changed my mind. Will keep the Pixel.
I will say that my first few hours with the LG v20 are not going well. Picture quality is crap compared to the pixel XL. I have another few days to play with them both but most likely I will be keeping the pixel XL. And sending the v20 back
Come on back Jack! Sucks the camera is poo. Because the V20 has a lot going for it. How bad are the pics really..?I will say that my first few hours with the LG v20 are not going well. Come crawling back eh? Heh heh heh
Keep whatever you enjoy mate. At the very least, you're giving these devices a fair shot and making up your own mind.

Both the Pixel and V20 are good smartphones. The excellent audio system makes the V20 a real winner if you like to record live concerts or other events. The Assistant in the Pixel is great for hands-free usage. I don't think you can go too far wrong with either choice.
Exactly the conclusion I came to. Very disappointed in the camera on the V20.I'm having difficulty getting crisp shots in any lighting. When I zoom in on pictures the quality guess away fast. I'm using auto mode. I like to be high tech but simple with pictures. Honestly with the pixel XL it's difficult to take bad shots.
Thanks. This was the first report of "loud" recording I saw for the Pixel. The V20 has lots like:I recorded some of a tool concert I went to the other night on my Pixel xl and it was amazing.
Hey-how does the V20 compare to the lgg4?
Set the LG V20 with HDR always on in auto mode and the quality is always superb...or just learn how to use the manual mode...there are no issues if you take the time to figure how things work...people like you who comment without learning how to use something causes people to make bad purchase decisionsOK ...So my decision has been made in less than 12 hours of having both devices. The Pixel XL is superb in a few ways that are most important to me. For one, the picture quality of the LG V20 outright sucks. I was showing my girlfriend some pictures side by side. For whatever reason I can not get a quality picture. Don't get me wrong the pictures look great until I double tap to zoom in on the V20. Then they look like crap. With the Pixel XL I can easily snap photos and they're clear when zoomed in. For the hell of it I pulled off the plastic cover from the lens on the back (which doesn't cover the actual lenses anyways.) Still crap photos. I'm just shocked that the V20 gets rave reviews regarding the camera. Total deal breaker for me.
I didn't even mess with anything else on the V20 because a good camera is imperative for me. Honest to god the picture quality of the V20 reminds me of text MMS photos that my mom texts me from her Apple iPhone 3GS. I will say that opening and closing apps on the V20 are not reliable as far as speed. Fingerprint sensor is fickle also. Animation speed in the developer section was turned off on both devices. Both fully up to date regarding apps and software and freshly restarted.
Battery life does seem to be better on the V20 but I don't care.
