Gear 2 Apps in Samsung Apps

This reminds me of the unnecessary apps for figuring out tips. If someone can't figure out how to calculate tipping they probably aren't smart enough to drive to the restaurant

Note 2 & Gear 2

But since Samsung didn't include an alarm app, so if not necessary, still a good addition to the watch for me. No need to walk to turn it off if you don't want to...

What do you mean there is no alarm app. All you have to do is talk to S voice to set an alarm

Note 2 & Gear 2

There may be no interface with an icon but it still has that feature of alarms using s voice

Note 2 & Gear 2

I'm a very visual person. I need an icon. :D
This is a stand-alone app. No need for the phone. Does the S Voice route still sound an alarm on the watch if you don't have an active connection between watch and phone?

I would doubt it, but then again I bought the watch knowing it's a companion to my phone. I don't expect it to do much when it's not within BT range.

Quite true.
I'm mostly just happy to see apps trickling out, even as proof-of-concept. I leave my phone at my desk and go back and forth between the office and warehouse all day, constantly disconnecting/re-connecting, so I like the idea of some independence from the phone.
Having a two-pronged approach (stand alone and companion apps) by different devs will provide more options for us. With choices, I think everyone wins.

I don't get it. Why would I want to walk to turn off an alarm?

Note 2 & Gear 2

Hi I am the developer

1- You don't need to walk. Just set the number of steps to zero
2- The app was requested by forum member who can't take his phone with him to work. He/she needs an alarm
3- The Gear sound is not laud, if you set an alarm you might not hear it and goes to snooze by time
4- Again, you don't have to walk.. just move your hand up and down
5- I have installed 10 apps on my Note since I bought it, and not going to install more, so 99.9999% of the apps on Google Store are useless & unnecessary for me .. Got it?

Calm down there, developer.

I'm not sure what relevance there is that you only have 10 apps on your phone. I have a ton of them on my phone and I use some of them and as long as they don't impact battery life or use up all my memory it really doesn't matter if I have some apps on there that aren't used everyday.

If I install an app on my phone that looks promising and I give it a try and it seems not a good fit for me then I will delete it but if it looks like I could use it once in awhile I leave it until further review down the road makes me want to jettison it

I am not angry, I am just trying to say that if you think that the app is useless, others might consider it important and must-have

I am a developer but I don't download many apps and games. Pre-Installed apps on my Note + few chats apps and utilities are what I need and use. I never had more than 2 pages of apps anytime.

My point that we are different users with different needs. We live in different countries and our needs varies.

This app was requested the user 530XI on "gear 2 application challenge". He wrote:
"How about the ability to set multiple alarms throughout the day. I can't take my phone into work."

Others also requested alarm app in that thread

I was not thinking about making alarm clock but I felt it was necessary for people like him/her

No hard feelings :)

Index: Thank you for all your work :) Any chance of a potential Starbucks app with barcode for scanning rewards cards? Any noise about fellow developers creating such an app? Something similar to Pebblebux would be great. I created an image of my barcode in gallery, and it works great, but a standalone refreshable app would be great. I'm a coffee addict unfortunately.

I am sorry, I have no idea how this works because I don't live in the US and I have no starbucks where I live now. Even if I did some search, I won't be able to test it. Worse, I have Gear 2 Neo with no Camera

Sorry to disappoint you

To have an alarm that works independently of the phone is certainly useful!

I have released new app today (forum member request)
Better flashlight app with some extra features\
G-Neon is FREE

Note: Kitchen countdown/up has been delayed for certification issues

To use Starbucks, Is it possible to screen grab the barcode on your phone then have the picture of the barcode appear on the watch to scan? Won't be able to check balance but an app that allows to organize barcodes to smartwatch would be cool. For other show tickets and such.

Glad to see there's another coffee person out there wanting a sbux app similar to Pebblebux. I've been using the gallery shot of my barcode, but I agree...it'd be nice to have something that could refresh for a quick balance glance.

I use the gear camera to take a photo of the starbucks bar code on my phone, and then bring it up in the gallery to scan at the checkout. Works fine, gets a nice reaction from the baristas. Only downside is it can get pushed back in the gallery by other pics. A separate 'bar code gallery' might be nice.

I have released new app, vCounter, the multiple countdown countup app requested by forum's members
