Gear Manager Settings Crash

I have a gear 2 neo, that I got 10/24, a day after I got the Note 4.
I know it installed a couple updates when I was setting it up, but everything seems to work fine on it.
 
Had the Gear 2 Neo with my SG5 now my Note 4. For some reason since the update I no longer get messages on my watch. I use the default messaging app on the phone so I have no idea what is going on.

I also have the Note 4/Gear 2 Neo. They work great together. However, when I click on the settings, I get the message Gear Manager has stopped working. Was not this way before the 10/25/14 update. Seems like the last few updates on Gear Manager have been plagued with more problems than it fixed. Fix this Samsung!
 
Gear Manager j formed me today of an update which I assume is the one released last week that has caused so many problems. Can anyone confirm if Samsung has fixed and this is an updated update?

I just checked my Galaxy Note 4 and the Gear Manager program is still the update from the 25 i believe. In short, no they have not posted a new update.
 
I got the update on 10/25 and then today got another update.. Soooooo yes, this is a new one. I can confirm it fixes the settings crash problem.
 
What is your version number for the Samsung Gear Manager?
I have not yet received update. Have S4+ and Gear 2 Neo. My version number is 2.2.14092499.
I noticed that is says the version is dated, 24.oct. This date had up to that date always been updated to current date. How ever is has now stopped on the 24.
 
Well crap. I have checked multiple times today and still no update. My version is 2.2.14100399. I live in Portland, Oregon. I click on the update button and all it says is that I have the current version. Am I missing something?

Hahaha, I force stopped the Gear Manager and started it again and immediately it downloaded the new update. Settings is indeed working again. :)
 
I got the update today and happy to say I can actually get into settings on Gears Manager.

But I can't get Watch Styler to work -- never had it before since I'm new to Gear 2 -- any ideas on how I can get it working?
 
I can get into setting on Gear app. I am still not receiving SMS on my Gear 2 Neo. I am using native messaging app.

It forced me to update and after the update, no crashing. Seems to be working at the moment.

It is now December 10 and I have a brand new Gear 2 Neo from black Friday. It worked fine for a few days. Then the Gear Manager update of December 1-2. The connection between the gear and the phone (Note 3) started failing frequently. Then it simply would not connect. Spent 3 hours with a nice Samsung tech who tried everything to fix it and concluded the problem was the latest update. I downloaded an older version of the Gear Manager and was able to make a bluetooth connection and set things up again, only to have a screen pop up that I was being forcibly updated to the completely non-functional newer version that basically bricks the Gear.

I have sent 2 emails to Samsung. Whenever I start explaining this on a chat the rep just shuts off the chat (3x). Maybe everyone having this problem needs to complain at the same time. a 2 week-old tech product from the most innovative electronics company in the world should not be useless with no recourse. They need to fix the update.
 
I have a Note 3 and I have $149 Gear 2 Neo, that worked great until the Gear Manager App Updated. I was so pleased with my watch. That I upgraded to the $399 Gear S. The day before the software updated. So i have two useless pieces of crap now because Samsung, a company that I support every chance I get. Phone, watches, 7 TVs in my house, 2 Blue Ray players, surround sound system, home security cameras, all in one smart remote. Man, you name it, I bought it. Now they are lacking miserably on this. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR MISTAKE. I am NOT purchasing ANYTHING with your company's name on it. FIX YOUR ****. going to the BBB here locally to file a complaint. Off you won't react to legitimate customer complaints, then maybe you will listen to the Better Business Bureau. UPDATE NEEDED.
 
i having the same problem with my note 3 i have even restore both the phone and the watch and no help at all
 
Sorry to wake this old thread, I am now having the same issue with a samsung galaxy s5 and gear s. I tried reinstalling gear manager/plugin multiple times however i cannot access the home screen styles or the settings. The watch worked fine before this recent update; just wondering if anyone has a solution?
