Gear S2 and Hangouts replies?

I'll hopefully be getting my Gear S2 soon from the Verizon promo. I'm coming from the Gear Fit where if you use the default Samsung messaging app you could do quick replies, but quick replies are not available when using Hangouts for messages. I did try to see who I could make this product improvement suggestion to and never got a clear answer from Samsung or Google. Any of you that already have the S2 and use Hangouts is this available now or is it still the same? If there are no quick replies, how do you handle replies? just take out phone, or does speech to text work on S2? For the fit I did see there was an app for text message replies using a T9 keyboard, but I never tried it out and don't know if it worked with Hangouts or not.

I got the verizon one and yes, you can reply back on a hangout message. There are a few ways. First is select from a list of quick replies, Second is voice, and third is a T9 prediction keyboard. All work pretty well.

You can not reply to a Hangout with the Gear S2, you can reply if you have the Gear S which is what I believe that raven975#AC has. The Gear S has access to a keyboard and operates different from the Gear S2. Two difference watches that operate differently. I have the Gear S2 myself and you can not reply to a hangout with it.

Many have reported that if you install android wear on your phone you are then able to reply to hangouts on the Gear s2.

After I installed the Android Wear app on the phone I'm able to reply to Hangouts messages, but you can't start a new Hangouts message on the Gear S2, only reply to one you receive.

I installed the android wear app but I don't even get notifications of my messages right now to the watch.
I get whatsapp and messenger but hangout messages don't even come to the watch

Do you have Hangouts set as your default SMS on the phone? double check in Samsung Gear app that Hangouts is checked for sending notifications to the S2?

I downloaded Android Wear and I cannot access the app, but I do get Hangouts messages with quick reply only. Now Im trying to find out where I can change the quick reply responses.

Might want to try the gear fit 2 forum. U might get a better/quicker response. This is in the GEAR S2.
