1/18/2016 battery optimization update hit this morning on Verizon. My Gears s2 3g already has great battery life will see if it improves even more.

What the question here? I didn't get what you are asking for, would you mind stating it clearly.

Hey zom, just curious what's your settings? My battery does not make it the whole day but I charge a little bit in the am when I shower then a little bit in the pm hours.

I keep my cellular connection to automatic & have the display set at #5. Usage is a little bit under moderate.

I'm thinking there really should be separate forums for the S2 and the S2 3G versions of this watch. The behaviors are quite different and the various updates to software and firmware apparently come from completely different places.

I keep Bluetooth on, have wifi, location, nfc, off. Brightness at 7%. From about 7am to 7pm have 50 to 60% batt life left on most days. Best day was 70% left.

How come my Bluetooth Gear S2 doesn't have the update?

+1. The two watches are quite different, and everyone is confused because we are all in the same forum.

I'm on At&T, obviously S2 3g, and I bought it on 1/19/16. Manually checked Gear Manager for an update, and got one on 1/20/16. Currently the watch is showing R730AUCU1AOL3.

What about non-3G watches?

My guess is that the 3G watches are having issues running out of battery. Therefore they are getting the update first. I can have my non-3G watch running for 2 days without charging, but if the update can give me 3 days then bring it on.

For those on Verizon, what firmware version does the new update bring the 3G model of this watch to?
