Gear S2 wrist gesture stopped working

Had the watch S2 Classic since November and love it. All of a sudden the wrist gesture stopped working all else seems fine.
I have shut off gesture rebooted watch and phone then turned it back on and still does not work.

I did not do a full factory reset but whatever the other reset is called and it did not fix it.

Has this happened to anyone else? Anybody have any ideas?

Sometimes mine stops working partially (lights up but doesn't go off when I put my hand down). Reboot fixes it.
Does yours still count your steps? If not, maybe the accelerometer is broken, and you will have to return it. In any case I would recommend a full reset first...

Step counter is fine. Hate for full reset will have to re download watch faces but I have the day off so maybe

I don't belive it a factory reset fixed it and as I did a backup before I reset I was able to restore all.
