It's not an S4 to be clear. It's a step down from the S3. For example, you lose the MST capability with Samsung Pay and you cannot get an LTE version. This is how they were able reduce the size of the Gear Sport.

To be fair, the sport is going to be better for fitness and swimming functions. So I think it's a good addition to the lineup. I really like the blue color.

This^^

Nice additional line for someone who doesn't want the MST and would like a smaller watch.

Well I definitely don't regret the decision to switch from the t-mobile version to the Verizon version of the Gear S3. I like the waterproofing of this watch and if it had MST I might would have considered it. I guess I'll wait until next year.

Barf. Still have the S2 Classic and S3 Frontier, and am perfectly happy with those. This new watch seems rather pathetic to me.

I don't think it's all that bad. I can see why they marketed as a sport model. That was always a knock against the S3 due to the size and inaccuracies for health tracking.

Personally, I've lost about 30 lbs since I got my S3. Samsung Health isn't the greatest but life has been good since Myfitnesspal started working consistently.
