Get a all new microSD for new phone, or keep the old?

Just wondering if I should start everything afresh, and just transfer it over, or, keep the current microSD I'm using.

I've simply moved my SD cards over when I get a new phone because all of my pictures are on them. Nothing wrong with doing this. No reason to buy a new card unless the old one is full and you don't want to lose anything on it.

I generally keep cards until they fail or prove otherwise too problematic for continued use. (And paranoid as I am for my storage options, I usually keep stored items cloud-copied, as well.)

I would say keep the old one, unless it is less than Class 6 speeds.
If you buying a decent enough phone where you need good read/write speeds (like capturing in RAW or recording in UHD/4K), better to go for the latest HiSpeed cards.

Another point to note is that the old card, if it was made into Adoptable Storage in the old phone running Android Marshmallow, then its better to leave that card there. It is encrypted and will not be recognized in any other device.

If the old one has proven to be reliable, keep it unless you need more capacity or faster speeds.
