Get unlimited data on ungrandfathered lines!

where can I view a list of these "features" that I can potentially add? The 3G one is probably not $29.99 for 4GB. So the 3G maybe is $20 for 4GB?
Cell Phones - Smartphones: Cell Phone Service, Accessories - Verizon Wireless

log into your account and then go to change features.

3G MHS feature includes 2GB of data for $20/mo. I know, it makes no sense that a 2GB 3G data plan is $30/mos but a 3G MHS + 2GB feature is $20/mo, but that is how it is.

VZW is a large corporation and if they wanted to they could change their system to make sense. Until they do, though, no reason you shouldn't benefit from how they set their system up.

You know the holier-than-thou guy who-shall-remain-nameless has already narced on us for this so VZW is aware of it. Get it while you can.

You can find it on the My Verizon App or on VZW's website under change features under data packages (at least on my phone). It will be 20 dollars as a standalone feature. You don't want the MHS bundle packages. Note that when you try to add the feature on a 3G device, you will get an error message and be told to contact CS. Some speculate that this is key to getting it. When you call CS be sure to sweet talk them (return their canned greetings, ask how they're doing) as you can never be too thorough. If you have to, write down the exact name of the 20 dollar feature and explain that you were instructed to call them when you tried to do it online then tell them the exact name of the 20 dollar feature you want to add, this may help keep them from trying to shove the bundled MHS down your throat.

It won't let you add it online. You have to call to add it. But then you can log back on and delete the feature and you should be left with $29.99/mo unlimited data plan. Price for unlimited data is same for 3G or 4G.

I wonder if its because the Gem probably doesn't support a tethering piece? not sure if the iphone does either? I am going to upgrade to a 4G phone anyways...probably the Bionic.

If your device can't act as a MHS, that explains it. The iPhone 4S can and that is what I have on the other line on my family plan and that is why I see the feature on that line and you don't.

What happens when you log into her account? Do you see the MHS feature on that line?

family plan..so I just have to click "Change Features" then select her phone from the 3 lines we have, and view her features but its not there either.

talking with a rep online....he says they offer the 4GB Data Bundle with Personal Email & Mobile Hotspot for $50 / month. I am using exact terminology with what is on your screenshot you showed me

wonder if my account is setup different then most....

Hmm, then all I can say is that maybe the party is over.

Why don't you get on the phone with Verizon and see if you can get the 3G Mobile Hotspot feature added to her iPhone 4 line and see what happens?

Tell him thank you and hang up and call back and ask another rep and see what they say. It took me 3 tries.

I guess it concerns me that it doesn't even show up as a possible feature online. The screenshot you posted..was that a recent screenshot (like 1 hr ago) or was that an old one?
