Getting Action memo to work

I reviewed the other thread by 'the you tube guy' and went to APK Mirror and downloaded S Note and the other associated files (templates, etc)

However, when I use S Note the page at the top right corner with the three vertical dots does not bring up an option with the S pen for "Link to Action"

What am I doing wrong?

Uninstall snotes first then install the July dated one from apkmirror, i get it to work but newer version keeps auto updating and I can't figure out to stop just that 1 app to do that

And if I uninstall S notes won't I lose all the notes I have?

It will tell you it is corrupted if you have not uninstalled the old version.

I would imagine you can back them up to your s- notes account and download after but don't hold me on it

If you back them up to your Samsung account thru settings you won't loose them.

all of your s notes should be saved in Samsung notes. I didn't lose any of mine when I deleted s notes

Action Memo is actually part of Samsung Notes now, I've found. Hover the S-pen over an email or phone number in a saved note and it'll pop up with the appropriate action.

Samsung Notes (the new version and not the updated Snotes app) can import all of your SNotes. You could just keep that as your "archive".

Isn't this a note the same as the one on Samsung essentials? I got all my notes back and s notes app installed from Samsung. The interface looks different but I wasn't ever a heavy user.

I have the 5.2.04 version of S Notes. Every time I get a new update from the Play store I ignore it. My action memo works fine.

Can't get idea sketch or easy chart to work, both of them say i have to update to use but then fail to update with errors.

Same here. When time permits, I want to experiment with older version's .apk's of both and see if any of those work. One of these days....

Go to this link...easy to follow YouTube instructions. Before you open any of them, go to app setting and disallow automatic updates. Also, if it comes asking for automatic updates, cancel the request. You will not lose your prior Action Memo's etc. It will still save them all. Good luck. The only feature you won't have is the double tap to open, but you can add the shortcut to the Air Command menu.

I got it now on my note 8. Works like a charm.

I got action memo working perfectly on my Note8 as well and use the short cut for it in the air command menu.
