Getting your replacement Nexus 7...

Where did you email them from? I've been looking for a support email and can't find it. I have the same issue on my Nexus 7. I'd call but I don't have time to wait on hold for 30 minutes like last time.

Nevermind found the spot to email them.

Here's the link I used in case someone else wants to know... I went to Play Support, Devices...

Contacting Support - Google Play Help

Then clicked on Questions About My Order.
Filled in the form and described the problems I was having and that I wanted to exchange my Nexus 7.

alright dude... So I Clicked on the link they emailed me on Monday the 23rd. I shipped the defective one on Tuesday the 24th. I got the email that it had shipped on Tuesday the 24th and Today I am holding it in my hands. I did ship it to a different address that I had originally wanted so technically it was delivered yesterday but I didn't pick it up until today at 9 am PST.

Hope your transaction is as easy as mine was....

1. Is there a way to transfer my apps and data to the replacement unit?
2. Can I upgrade from 8GB to 16GB while replacing my 8GB unit?

If you root both tablets, you can use Titanium Backup Pro to backup the apps and data. You can sync that backup to the cloud, but that's slow as hell, so I usually just copy the \TitaniumBackup folder to my PC then back to the new device.

I guess you could ask the Google if you could pay the difference and get bumped up to the 16GB model. Don't know if they will.

I did the replacement link for my 16GB unit early Monday evening. I got an email that a shipper was created last night (Weds.) and I've been tracking it leaving Louisville late Thursday afternoon for delivery sometime Friday in Detroit. It will take four days from ordering to delivery; it took six fraking days and two phone calls and over 90 minutes on hold to get them to send that damn link in the first place. I'm just hoping that this one isn't jacked out of the box.

My nexus 7 replacement checkout link is messed up. It says "Oh no! There was an issue loading your account information. This is probably just a server hiccup. Try reloading this page in a few minutes." and won't show anything that will allow me to get my replacement. Fault at my part was that i did not access my email for three days and did not check out my replacement right away. My nexus 7's glass separation issue is getting out of hand and i don't know what to do other than calling google again

Im going to ship mine back, as soon as some of you guys confirm your 16GBs no longer have the screen issue.

Anyone confirm the problem is fixed?

Did anyone get "Oh no! There was an issue loading your account information. This is probably just a server hiccup. Try reloading this page in a few minutes." from google wallet when trying to place a replacement order for nexus 7? The link directs me to google wallet but it would not show any checkout buttons or anything that would allow google to send my replacement Nexus 7

My replacement is out for delivery right now, ill report back when I receive it if it has the separation issue or not...

Well my replacement is PERFECT. No separation and no wash out! Im a happy camper

I just got my replacement (16) and so far everything looks great. Have to use it a few days to be be sure but at the moment all is well. :)

I want to confirm some things:
1) So I can keep my old Nexus 7 till they send my replacement?
2) Will the replacement Nexus 7 shipping be 2 days?
3) When sending in my defective nexus 7, do I get a new box, or do I use an old one?
4) And when sending it in, I use the printout that Google emailed me, right?
Thanks! I'm new to this stuff, so I'm sorry if sound a little dumb.o

1. Yes.
2. Two day shipping, though it might take 3 or 4 days to get it from the time you ask for an RMA.
3. Put the tablet in the original Nexus 7 packaging/box it came in, but you can send it back with the new UPS box the replacement arrives in.
4. Yes.

My N7 arrived last Tuesday July 17. The left side loose screen problem was evident from the first day but it did not really bother me too much. I decided to call google today and start the process of getting a replacement because I was worried that it may get worse. I can only hope that later batches have a higher percentage of keepers.
