My phone rebooted and is downloading something on it's own right now.......I wonder what it could be?

Saw the upgrade this morning, tried to download but I was on 1x and eventually lost signal. Now says no update available. Even after a battery pull. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Strange, before I went to bed last night, around 10pm eastern, I checked for the update and found nothing. Woke up this morning and noticed the notification bar was different and then realized that the update downloaded and installed at around 1am.

I am surprised it downloaded and installed itself without even asking me.

Amazed that I got it with the first bunch, I have noticed nothing great so far. Of course I have only had it on the Bolt for 2 hours and 49 minutes, of which 2 hours I was at work. Have to say that the "excitement" did serve the purpose of making a midnight turn pass quickly and kept me awake. Now that we have it can anyone help and idiot out and tell me what I am supposed to notice that is so great about it?

I never could understand this either. Without the updated UI, it still looks and feels the same. I hear people ready for their phones to be updated with ICS, but whats the point when having physical buttons on a phone? It defeats the purpose IMHO

Well, I noticed they changed the name colors on my apps from white background with black letters (which I liked) to black background with white letters (which I don't like and find disturbing)

Text messaging was messed up? Is that how I kept sending texts to the wrong people? There were several instances where one of my friends got texts from me even though I know I selected the right person. I thought I was just getting senile.

I can still print from my phone with my printer app - so that's good.

I'll hold out for KrispyKreme (the first Android version where Google starts to make money off the actual name) or Lowe's (where Google just abandons the whole food thing and sells out the name to the highest bidder with the right starting letter)

Hopefully GB has fix that (on the TB) - but I wouldn't rule out the senile part just yet, do some more testing.

Pushed automatically for me in DC. Woke up to see new buttons and immediately knew there was a software update! Checked for out and was delighted to see the Gingerbread has finally arrived! Smoother and quicker to the touch, nice ui, quick settings, organized icons...hoping to see improvement in battery life! -Tbolt running stock

My update was available but failed saying server unavailable I got to software update then status it says failed so I go to check new it says no new software. Anyone got any suggestions what I do to get it back please help?

So sick and tired of this effing phone and its issues - especially how it likes to just drop the data connection at random, I'm ready to throw it against the wall. I can't wait to use my upgrade to get an iPhone...
