Gingerbread is here.

I'm confused. Is there a UI difference? I thought homescreen would landscape with this. Can't find dock icons either. Am I missing something?

Gingerbread installed OTA in Utah a couple hours ago with no problems. GPS reception is now solid without the repeated dropouts.

Nope, I don't think you are. I don't see either myself.

Going back to Go Launcher. It's so much nicer.

I turned off my Wi-Fi and Mobile Data connection last night before bed (as I always do to keep from being interrupted by random notifications while still receiving emergency calls and texts). When I turned on Wi-Fi and Data in the morning, I received a pop-up notice that an update was available and to click OK or Cancel. I clicked Cancel because I needed to use my phone during my morning rush to check e-mails etc. Then I went to home screen and noticed the new app drawer icon. It looks like they applied the update to my phone anyway even while data was turned off. I checked the Software Update option and it shows the update was successfully applied to my phone at 2:10 AM. When I checked for new updates, nothing was available, so I guess I received the full update.

I did notice that the "Settings / Call / Voicemail service" option had been reset from Google Voice to My Carrier and I had to manually change it back to Google Voice. Perhaps that's part of the voice mail notification problem that some are seeing?

Anyone notice that in the quick settings and the traditional settings, the Mobile Network is "Off" and "unchecked" and is actually ON?

Checked for update this morning software update. It was there. Whole process took 15 minutes. Lots of nice improvements.

I noticed in quick settings it was checked but said off until I unchecked and checked and then it said on.

Right now I am CLEARLY on mobile network (not wifi) and in my quick settings and regular settings menu the Mobile Network says OFF and is unchecked. If I check the button, it says "Turning On" and just stays connected. I don't think I can turn my mobile network off.

For those of you that were frustrated with Swype not working correctly with the HTC messenger and mail apps, those appear to have been fixed with this update. Hooray!!! :D

Don't know why, but I still haven't gotten it yet. Been hitting check new twice an hour. Guess it's not my time yet. :(
