Gingerbread question...always 6 voicemails?

Ive used the Scott Pilgrim Gingerbread and Athanos's new gingerbread, both CM7 port ROMs. Both seem to have the same quirk. On reboot, there is always a notification for 6 new voicemails...just one notification. but for 6 messages? not really an issue or problem bot applies to both 2.3 ROMs (not sure about AOSP 2.3...maybe someone else can add theyre experience) so figured id start a new thread instead of posting on the rom threads... anyone have an explaination for this phenomenon? mostly, just curious.

ive used both roms and never get something like that so im guessing you might want to look into your voicemail as the culprit.

on my first boots with ath3nos' rom I was getting constant notifications for 1 voicemail. I went and disabled the voicemail notifications in settings and setup the VVM along with the sms block from 9016. Now everything works fine.

memsman can you explain what you mean about setting up VVM, and 9016 blocking.

I thought VVM did not work with CM7.

Lioneda, it does work with CM7. Please refer to this post: http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-...ks/100756-voicemail-issues-2.html#post1074941 . If you have questions after trying these steps, feel free to ask. Also, don't forget to disable voicemail notifications in settings (I think it's in call settings).
