Is anyone else tired of waiting to have the Thunderbolt work as promised?

Please HTC/Verizon, just give me Gingerbread and any other fixes for this phone already!!

I would like to just be able to use this phone - as advertised - and never come back to this forum until the end of my contract.

Wouldn't it be nice to just buy a phone that worked as promised from the get-go, and not have to worry about it until it was time to get a new phone?

Rooting the phone doesn't make this phone work like it is supposed to, I don't care what anyone says. It STILL has problems with 3G/4G transitions and beyond that, text messages still randomly get deleted. There is still room for improvement with this phone. I AM rooted and running BAMF Remix 1.6.3 and YES a lot of things are better, such as battery life, but this phone still needs work.

I feel ya. Not much reason to be here if you aren't into rooting and trying new things. Who's to say you won't be back once the gingerbread gets stale asking for the next thing.

What is the "phone" supposed to do? I'm pretty sure any phone owner would say there is Rom for improvement. I understand you are experiencing issues but there is thread after thread of people with conflicting opinions. I myself couldn't be happier. Then again I have no 4g in my primary area but find everything working well with das BAMF 1.6.3 remix.

Well the 3G/4G transitions were supposed to be fixed with the new firmware (1.13.605.7, 1.16.00.0402w_1)
So that is totally reliant on the network, and what radios Verizon makes available

If your text messages are getting deleted you may have screwed things up with the flashing process. You either didn't wipe properly, used ROM manager to flash, or restored some system data that interfered with your setup. I was running BAMF 1.6 for weeks and never experienced any problems like that.

i think its more of the approach you posted with!! seems like your unhappy with the forums as well, im rooted running GB instant transitions, my phone works phenomenally. I still come on the forums, its an android community not just sitting here waiting for updates

Well, that's a thought.

I out-grew "fixing-up" products, like my car when I was in my teens and 20's.... My computer when I was in my 30's.

These days I like to buy things that actually work without me having to work on them. I buy a smart phone to use. I didn't buy it to have another hobby.

Hmmmmm ice cream!!!

I don't know if icecream sandwich will even work on the TB. Besides, by the time icecream sandwich comes out AND Versizon allows it to be on it's phones, I will be in a new contract with another new phone.

Well my "approach" could be an issue, I am just sitting waiting for the phone to be "updated" with the things it was said to have at the release and a few things promised down the road.

And granted, these may just be my issues.
