Not working on my G3. It won't sync trash and sent folders. It is locking on sync without letting go so its draining my battery. I had to uninstall it. The reason I'm told is because google written apps are made for a specific set of hardware and specific devices and if you install an app not made for your device it could lock on google services causing battery drain. The sync icon wouldn't disappear from my notification bar so I was forced to uninstall it. I guess it should be available in the store within days so I'll just wait. Is it working for any other G3 users?

Working fine for me

Maybe I'll give it another install. What carrier are you on? I wonder if that might have anything to do with it. I'm on LG G3 on AT&T. Thanks.

Are your sent and trash folders syncing? Do you have a constant sync icon in your notification bar? Thanks.

I am on verizon and it is working like a dream. Beautiful design. At first it was not synching but after clearing data of the other mail app I was using and power cycle of the phone then it was quick to sync.

OK I finally got it to work but only after I disabled the stock email app and cleared its cache.

Well disabling the stock email app wasn't good because it deleted my outlook accounts and I had to add them again but the gmail app looks like its still working.

Gmail and Yahoo mail works for me. But I can't get my Exchange account set up
.
I can put in my mail server but it says username and password not correct... but it is. It doesn't seem to have a field to enter domain name and in ios or other mail apps that support exchange, it works if i put in the domain name.

Any suggestions from other that got Exchange working would be appreciated.

I like that Yahoo works and I might stop using the Yahoo mail app if I can get all three email working on it and just use one app...
But I will say I am not a fan that it doesnt support push on Yahoo Mail. Also, no setting to default on loading images on email.

App has been working fine for me, no issues. I was able to set up my Outlook work email on it as well. Can't give much advice on it, just set it up normally and all is working fine.

No syncing issues or battery drain for me.

You have to install another app to get exchange to work with Gmail 5.0. The link to the app is provided in the article at Android Police from earlier today. Regarding loading images once you download images in an email manually for the first time you will get a message asking you if you want to automatically download images from that sender for future emails. You have to do it for each sender the first time but that ain't too bad. And yeah it sucks that gmail supports push only for the gmail account but 5 minute fetch isn't too bad. Microsoft is the same way on Windows Phone as they only support push for outlook.com accounts and fetch for all others. I guess they are all playing the same game SMH.

I did install the exchange portion of the app too... it gives you the option to choose exchange when choosing new email.

it just doesnt seem to contact my works exchange server with just mail server alone. i've seen it too on other apps where it will then go into a more detailed mode and you can enter the domain name and then i seem to be able to set up my exchange. but not this one. i'll have to look into this further with my exchange admin.
