Gmail App & Native Mail App - Email Search is Horrible..

Not sure if it's a setting or what , but on both my gmail app and native Note 5 mail app, when I search for mail, it just hangs with no results.. I have a gmail account setup and an imap account.. Any suggestions? Similar problems with others?

Ummm, that's odd. I get results on both (I have my GMail account on the GMail app) and relatively fast. I even get results from my e-mails if I search from S-Finder.

A keyword search in the Gmail app pulled the email I was looking for (from over 2 years ago) in less than a second.

Not sure what your issue might be.

The only problem I've Come across is an email that's too old & has been deleted.

The stock app deletes emails after a month or SO. I've got the gmail app set to keep them.

I've seen Gmail app hang sometimes when searching, or even just loading Deleted mail; and both situations are with a strong mobile network connection. Could have been transient conditions on the network or Google's infrastructure.

Same for me. Search is better in CloudMagic.
