gmail issue

So when I upgraded to the DNA i first used my work email for things like Google play then the drive, Google calendar. Then I created a gmail account and used my work email as a backup. the other day neither the stock email app or the gmail app would sync with gmail. I could see my emails on the browser but not on the app's. I deleted my account from the stock email app and removed my work email from all my Google accounts on the browser. Gmail app would still not show my emails and listed my inbox as my work email. After messing around with it I found that the app had two inbox's (my work email and the gmail account). clicked on the gmail account and there was my email. So my question is how do I delete my work email from the gmail app. I can't find any where in the setting to delete it. I have gone in and basically disabled everything for that account but can't get it off my phone. Not causeing any big issues but kind of annoying. So what am I missing.

Thanks did that and it took care of my problem
