i believe the OP has gotten confused (and it is a somewhat confusing setup) b/t the email app and the gmail app.
on the android platform, gmail has its own dedicated app that is separate from the other email app.
what you saw was the regular email app which is meant for pop and other imap (yahoo, hotmail) mail. to setup gmail (which is usually part of the setup wizard) you would do it in a different place, which is why it doesn't show up there.
since this is a google experience phone, the gmail app will be on there
Do you have to use two different apps if you have email from different clients? Like if you have gmail, and exchange, or if you have gmail and yahoo?
So, do I have to use one app gmail, for gmail, and the other app for my other emails.
That way I can look at them all at once?
you can set gmail up in the regular email app, too. the best way to do it is to set it as an exchange account so you can get push-email. i set gmail as exchange and any other accounts as imap.I have the same question. I hope the answer is yes, but I'm pretty sure gmail uses it own app under sense.

unless you setup your gmail as an exchange account, you'll need to look at two seperate apps to see all your mail.
Let me ask this...I have a gmail account and another email account through my employer, will I have to get the data pack for 2 email accounts? There is a $29.95 pack for one email account and another for $44.95 for 2 accounts. Would the gmail account count as 1 of the 2 email accounts?
