Which app so you prefer for your gmail? Do you use the gmail app or the HTC email client. I set up Google sync through the Microsoft exchange. I like the look of it and like that I don't have to click to download images in emails. What's your choice?

Actually instead of using the pop client choose Microsoft exchange then do the following:
Put in full email address and password hit next
Username should be full gmail address and leave domain blank
For server put m.Google.com
It will then give you choices for what you want to sync.
You can choose to have your gmail sync as items arrives so you will have push email. It works great.
