Gmail Troubles

Running 2.1 on the Droid Eris with Gmail.

I never check my Gmail on my computer, because it all comes right to my phone of course. Just for the heck of it, I logged in to check something, and I had 9 emails that never showed up on my phone (over the course of the day!). Emails were working fine on the device until this afternoon. I hit refresh and then they showed up as "read", which was correct.

Any ideas why my emails aren't coming to my phone??

Yes, mine always came fast as well, that's why I'm concerned they didn't come at all. I'd guess there's a setting someplace that inadvertently got changed. Was hoping someone had an idea..

A tip: Set up a google shortcut using your browser on your home screen.

Actually, I found out what happened. I went in to "Settings" and then "Accounts and Sync" and found that Google was not set to Sync. Turned that on and it works perfectly now!
