GN8 notification sound issues

This could have been the result of the latest security update on T-Mobile's GN8 (N950USQU5DSD3), but starting this past week, my phone's sound notifications have been going haywire. All notifs aside from calls sound twice (like playing it twice while it hasn't finished playing once), are entirely too loud, and cannot be silenced from the sound profile... phone went off during an interview even though it was on vibrate. Anyone else having the same issue? Anyone have a fix? Very annoying.

Very timely article. I think my issue coincides with it and what everyone else is saying. I usually pair with the Sony 1000XM3 every day, and now that I think about it, the issue probably resurfaced after connecting to the headphones following the reboot. Google needs to fix this asap.
