As we all know verizon sells either the extended battery or the standard battery + charger. Both would be beneficial but not optimal.

I did a quick search on ebay and Amazon and found multiple deals with 1 or 2 (slightly extended) batteries and the battery charger for $25-$40. This seems like a MUCH better idea. I will get a slightly higher capacity batter plus a charger so I could have 2 batteries ready to go and one being extended. AND its cheaper. But the real question is are these batteries crap? Has anyone used them in their Galaxy Nexus yet?

With battteries it usually pays to get a genuine battery. Cheapo eBay or Amazon batteries will often perform on par with the price paid. When tests have been conducted on such batteries, the results show they have far less capacity than claimed.
