God why is verizon getting shafted again

FYI Stopped in at a verizon store and talked to a Rep today and he said they are suppose to receive their S3's on the 28th but he also stated they only get bits and peaces of info...... Well I guess we will see......

this post should have said " FYI stopped into a Verizon store today, then walked across the street to burger king. The guy behind the counter said that Verizon will probably get the s3 soon."

I was more or less commenting on Sammy's known past of not having the best reputation for quality of radio's. Some people never had a problem with them, while others have complained of poor signal quality and other complaints.

Again this is a YMMV situation and you need to make up your own decision when the device is in your hands.
I have read here and in a couple of other forums that the radio configuration in the S3 is a new setup for VZW. I understand it to be better than the GNEX and any other previous Sammy phone.

"GS3 has the S4 SoC (MSM 8960) with the radios integrated on the same chip with CPU/GPU (wifi, GPS, and BT also on-die) at 28nm. Very different setup than the 45nm OMAP with separate radios. Only time will tell if it equals an improvement over the GNex.

Droid Inc used a Snapdragon QSD 8650 SoC with modem for cellular communication on-die.

In essence... the US GS3 shares more SoC/radio heritage with the Dinc than it does with the VZW Gnex with the OMAP Soc."

There is also some banter over in Hofo...
