Going for a Note 9 yes/no

No way.

I just got my N8 exchanged to fix a long-standing problem and the "refurb" from T-Mo is completely awesome. The N8 is totally amazing IMO, and the N9 really can't be worth the price of admission for me as it's just an incremental bump in a few areas I don't really care about.

Between the performance and the breath-taking screen of the N8, which for me is already paid-for, I can't see shelling-out for a N9. I get to ride another year with an amazing phone with nothing out of pocket. What's better than that??

I really should not. My note 8 has been a beast since it was released. I have always upgraded yearly, but this time around, with Note 8 such a beast, anyone upgrading just have too much money to throw around. Good for them. Not me this time. Will be waiting for Note 10.

That is reason enough to upgrade nevermind all the other features

Battery is huge for me. I hate all these battery threads and articles on how to get the best battery life. You end up turning everything off, turning down the brightness, turning off sync, Bluetooth, etc... I want a phone that I can have my brightness turned way up and enjoy the screen while keeping everything on.
The 4000mah battery is reason enough for me

I guess you have "too much money to throw around" lol.

Yeah, I feel the same about the battery. Been wishing for a 4000mah battery on a Note for a long time. Just hoping they sort out the camera issues introduced on the S9.

We have our 2 Note 8 devices financed with Samsung Financing for 0%/24 months. After 12 months, we can upgrade by getting 50% of the original purchase price. Simply turn the devices in and they send you new ones. Seems like it's a no brainer to upgrade.

I just got the Note 8 a few days ago. came from the iPhone 8 plus. starting to wonder if I should've just waited until the note 9 released...

All depends on how much you paid for the Note 8. If you say you got $300 or more off (around $600) and you're happy with that price then I'd say be happy. If price is not an option and ok with spending near $1000 for the Note 9 then I guess you should have waited.

Only paid $600 which I thought was a good deal.

Yeah the battery alone is a huge upgrade, I run everything full blast also, I don't want to cripple my device

Well IF the note 9 has bigger battery, storage & processor then that will be great, shame about the efs....but I'll probably stay with my 8 until 2019. IF they ditch the note series then, I will either look at the note "replacement" & just hope they keep the in built s-pen or replace my 8 with a note 9....which will be cheaper next year (and the note 9 larger battery will have been proven not to be a weapon of mass destruction).
