Yeah. The S5 did very well last generation. It's also completely waterproof. The Moto G and X are also "unofficially" waterproof, though they can survive complete submersion intact.

That was not a casual dunking...it was fully submerged for a half hour.

Do you want me to list all the threads about water damaged phones? Yeah, it happens a lot. Even on iPhones.

Good job, you hand picked a drop test where the S5 does well. I could do the same with the iPhone and just about any other device.

No thanks... I'm sure it does. But it will still be a minuscule percentage of people who do damage their phones with water. Not enough to list is as a big problem or anything, IMO.

As a guy who ordered an iPhone 6 I will completely admit that Apple is playing catchup to most Android devices when it comes to features. My old S4, my Moto X, and my Nexus 7 all had features that were above and beyond what was available on the equivalent Apple device. What I've come to realize is that I'd rather have a device that does what I need it to really well rather than a device that does what I need it to most of the time (and quirks out some of the time, or is pending a fix for 6+ months, etc) and then a bunch of both stuff that are nice to haves or that I really don't use.

Yes, I realize I am trading my Android device for one with less functionality. Functionality isn't everything.

My thoughts 100% man i love android im 9 phones in but i have come to a place to know what i want and do/don't need... I want it to work i want a cohesive experience... I want consistency of an OS

Anyway 3days in with the i6 coming off the M8.... I love it!! I will miss controlling my files and downloading directly to my phone but... I have a computer and other Android devices to get me by... The iPhone 6 and iOS 8is the phone for someone coming from Android looking to try apple iPhone... I love the size, screen clarity more than fine.. Speakers are actually ok even after owning an M8... I like the phone! And the keyboard is sooooo great... So far its in my top 3 to 5 phones ever.. Definitely my pick for 2014.. Thats just me though

Yeah, we've seen that before. Apple will censor apps they they think are soley designed for the competition. This is not the first time I have seen them censored. They did the same thing to an Android-only magazine years ago. It's something you just have to accept on iOS.

Google does not forbid any Apple app in it's own market. Even if it did it would not matter, since we can use any market we want...even multiple markets at the same time.

Of course they don't. Google gives us proper freedom. But, Apple apps are pretty much made to showcase Apple hardware, and are one of the big attractions to the operating system. Also, apps like GarageBand are almost impossible on Android due to the difference in latency between devices. I see no reason why they would give them to us. Google doesn't care so much, they'll get money no matter where they are.

I can find the crackberry forum app in the AppStore.

Oh and why aren't they censoring the android central podcast?
