Good bye WebOS hello Andriod.....

I'm honestly completely stoked about getting my Evo today. Can't wait to let my Pre rest in peace

Quote "Honestly the only phone that stands a chance against Android might be iPhone"...stands a chance...simple is what makes the iPhone so completive (40 million in circulation)...they set the standard....HIGH. What blows me away about the iPhone is that Apple changes one piece of hardware and they sell like hot cakes. If Google could clean Android up (eliminate the layers and layers of settings) Add Google Music (something to compete with itunes) and some sort of built in video editor...Android would be rock solid. Apples control of the iPhone has been the deterrent for me...I enjoy the layers and layers of control with Android. iTunes and copyright content... I pay for all my digital content and I believe in portability. Just my two cents......

I switched from the Pre last Friday and haven't looked back. I'm loving everything about the Evo! Can't believe I waited this long to join the Android crowd.

Switched from the Pre the first week the EVO was out. Most people only mention hardware when talking about webOS, but the software sucks as well. Apps I have on my EVO that don't exist on the Pre:

* SoundHound/Shazam
* A real SSH client (not some crap I have to use through a terminal emulator)
* Remote Desktop and VNC clients (Pre has a VNC client but it is a crap port)
* Tapatalk forum app
* xScope browser/any browser with tabs. It's freakin 2010, Palm. We need tabs!
* Bank of America, Chase, and USAA apps
* eBuddy
* iheartradio
* MicDroid
* Google Navigation
* Rage Faces

webOS is great as an operating system, but even with great hardware it will still suck in the app department. It will take HPalm a long time to turn it around, if they're even able.
