I've been using a tablet with capacitive screen for sometime now, and I want to upgrade to an active-stylus device.

My big options seem to be the Galaxy Note 10.1 and the Microsoft Surface Pro. In both cases I am planning to use Autodesk Sketchbook. So the real question is... will the Note 10.1 do what I want at half the price the Surface Pro would cost me?

I use my GN about 80% of the time for Drawing. It's great! I had an Ipad and Ipad Mini, sucked drawing on a capacitive Screen with those thick tipped stylus'. I don't know about the Surface, but I like the GN. I would recommend though, getting a regular sized Pen Stylus, instead of using the smaller sized stylus that Comes with the Note 10.1. I like the feeling of drawing with something the size of a regular pen, but that could just be my preference. Here's a link to the Stylus I picked up on Amazon, it works great with the GN. If you decide to go with the GN, I'd recommend it.
