They disabled it in betaWe are SOL until they update the plug-ins. Not sure why this wasn't ironed out months ago since I assume they would have been able to test in the beta environment. Hoping it comes soon because I've gotten used to the task changer and quick star features in particular. Hopefully it doesn't take too long for them to iron this out.
As far as I can remember that's what they always done , not sure whyOh, strange. I wonder why?
Same here ...I'm sure someone will let us knowI'm just going to check it from time to time and wait till it's fixed.
agreed.
I mean, they have only so many resources available. I would much rather they push "pause" on Good Lock and focus on getting the core software correct, and then go back later and fix up Good Lock to be compatible.
The alternative would be to use resources to keep Good Lock up to date throughout the beta and final rollout periods, and risk not having the right resources on the job of making Android run correctly.
Or--now here's a thought--they could sell you Good Lock as an add-on; that would fund an independent team dedicated to Good Lock and keeping it always up to date...
Doing that wouldn't get the OS out fast, they have to rush it out and then fix things later, if they ever get fixed. I forgot about good lock always not working after these updates, wish I would have remembered, I would have waited to update. There's nothing in this update I would be missing if I would have waited, I do miss good lock.We are SOL until they update the plug-ins. I agree with the location choices now offered, which could have been added with a simple security update, but yes this was a rather weak OS update.I agree about the update not offering much. The only thing I like is how it notifies me when an app grabs my location and asks if I want to allow all the time, never or only when using the app. I haven't been impressed with anything else on Android 10. It's not any smoother than Pie, nor does it offer any noticeable performance benefits.
We're talking about Samsung here, their resources are, for all practical purposes, limitless.
you're serious, aren't you? You honestly think that resources are limitless.
Wow.
As I said, for all practical purposes, as they relate to the subject at hand.
Do you honestly think that Samsung don't have the resources to develop something like good lock alongside an OS update?
Wow.
Resources are by definition limited, and the company allocates them according to the business needs.
Do you really think that Samsung cares about allocating resources to something as silly and inconsequential as Good Lock when they're in the middle of (a) developing Android 10 for their phones, and (b) creating the successor to the S10 family?
Wow.
I'll go out on a limb, this last update to Android 10 was a silly update. It really doesn't do much more then what we had and in the process it broke apps, even Samsung apps. As minor as Android 10 was for a update, they could have gotten at least Samsung's apps updated.Resources are by definition limited, and the company allocates them according to the business needs.

Wow.
Not having resources and not caring enough to allocate them aren't the same thing. And I guarantee that good lock isn't developed by the same team that work on system updates or design new phones lol.
It's still $$$.
Money is a resource--and by definition, resources are limited.
And spending money on Good Lock can wait. Trust me, that's what Samsung has decided--and I understand perfectly.
