I'm looking to get a new Android tablet and I'm thinking of the Zenpad 3S 10. Can anyone who owns one give me a good recommendation? If not, why?

Thanks.

I love it. Great battery life, display and feel in hand. Nougat update should be here this month. Just got one for $280 from Amazon.

Agreed, great device overall. Curious about where you heard Nougat was coming? My only complaint is the Dec. 2016 security update being the last update.

Thanks for the responses. I'm about to pull the trigger on ordering one from amazon, and I'm also wondering about the possible Nougat update.

It was demoed on the tablet at Comptuex. Should be released to us soon.

Ok, I pulled the trigger and bought the Zenpad 3S 10 from Amazon. I was a little worried about the build quality and other various issues after reading several negative Amazon reviews, but I decided to just bite the bullet and take my chances. I used a Citibank credit card for my purchase which gave me an extra 2 year warranty just for some piece of mind.

So far, the tablet has been working great! I'm so use to the Samsung TouchWiz interface it's taking me awhile to get use to ASUS' ZenUI. I've got everything configured and setup to my liking, and no problems so far (knock on wood!).

A few observations:

  1. Excellent build quality for the frame, screen, and buttons.
  2. Very thin-- borders on maybe too thin. But with a Moko flip cover case the tablet is thickened enough to be handled easily.
  3. I've never used a device with a MediaTek processor, but this tablet has been performing well with no slowness or lagging.
  4. Dual speakers are very loud and clear!
  5. Tablet doesn't have a vibration motor, so no vibration notifications.
  6. Screen is very clear and hi-resolution. Colors look great.
  7. Lots of ASUS "bloatware", but some are very useful utilities.
  8. ZenUI has lots of options for customizing the interface.
  9. WiFi has been working flawlessly-- no random dropped connections.
  10. This is my first USB-C device, so I needed to order some adapters and additional USB-C cables from Amazon.
  11. The tablet is Quick Charge 3.0 compatible (for faster charging), but the supplied charging dongle isn't QC 3.0. So, something else I needed to order from Amazon to take advantage of QC 3.0 )
I'm hopeful that this tablet will continue to work well and will last me a few years. Also hoping Android Nougat 7.0 comes out soon for it!

Update (6/11/17): Was using my ZenPad early this morning and it spontaneously rebooted. Hope this doesn't continue otherwise the tablet is going back to Amazon pronto...

05GT, Just ordered one of these and I was wondering about the Nougat upgrade and haven't been able to find any official information about it.
Nougat will be available on the Wi-fi model this month? How do/where would I find the status on this?

Oh, sorry, I see someone else asked you the same quesion. Never mind O:-)

I just updated to 7.0 and everything is working well so far. I really like the split screen feature!
