Goodlock is awesome.

So I've had my Note 9 a little over two weeks now, and the customizability of the stock software is amazing. I saw the story about goodlock getting an update, and decided to check it out. So far I've downloaded all of its plugins except for routines.

With the lockstar plugin, I was able to move things around so everything is more or less out of the way of my lockscreen wallpaper. With quickstar, I was able to customize the color of my pull down menu to be blacked out with a splash of color in the lettering. And with task changer, I was able to kinda replicate the task switcher from Android 9.0.

With my previous phone (LG v20), at most you could download a handful of themes from their anemic store. I also had to resort to using Nova launcher (paid for) to change up the look further. And while true that there are a plethora of apps out there to change up the look of my Note 9, I haven't felt compelled to redownload any of them. The combination of goodlock and Samsung's theming engine have proved to be more than adequate for me.

Yeah, that's from the Play Store. Samsung's Good Luck app is only available via Galaxy Apps.

Happy guys in the US, GOOD LOCK is not available in Europe, just in the UK, so far ??? I wonder why and how long ??

I HATE that I can't make my Note 8 have dark notifications with Good Lock. So dumb. How is that even a thing? The phones aren't THAT different.

I wasn't reading the entire thread - but ... this isn't an option on Note 8 through the Galaxy Apps ?? That's just silly.

This was a big ocd thing for me - I was really displeased with the white background.

When I change background color, it only changes the control panel background. Notifications don't change, no matter what I do.

This version of Good Lock isn't available for the S8/Note 8. I'm not even sure if it's available for the S9. I haven't looked into that.

Yup. It's the right app and everything. Just don't get how/why different versions go out to different phone models.

This version of Good Lock isn't available for the S8/Note 8. I'm not even sure if it's available for the S9. I haven't looked into that.

I read somewhere last week that only Android 8.1 is supported.

Goodlock is one of the most underrated features. I finally got rid of all of "stock Android's" hideous white notifications with Goodlock..

It's just a toggle in the QUICKSTAR coloring settings.

I'ma bit confused at that myself. It should be installed out of the box. I'm sure the majority of people with Samsung devices don't even know this exists.
