Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I have the 9+ and my battery is running down very quickly. Under "battery usage" it shows Google at the top of the list at 26% usage for 3 minutes, with Android System at 8% and Screen at 6% for 40 minutes. Even to my untrained eye this seems wrong. I've had Galaxys 6, 7 and 8 but never had battery issues like this. I tried to "force stop" the Google app but it doesn't have any effect. I can disable it but that surely seems wrong.
Can anyone give me any advice or point me in the right direction? Many thanks in advance for any assistance. Rgds, Jim

Force stopping may be part of what is causing it to "misbehave", but most Google services drains are a different app trying to tie into Google Play Services and either not having proper permission or getting stuck. What was the total percent battery level that was drained? Like if you're posting at 20% the answers are different than if you're posting at 80%.

Hi, thanks for the quick response. The "force stopping" didn't actually have any effect. At time of posting it was 58% total battery level left. This was after about 2 hours from fully charged and almost no phone usage. I got the phone last Saturday and this only started yesterday, it was fine before that. Thanks again for the interest.

Hi B.Diddy, I hadn't thought of that but I've just done it. I'll report back. Thankyou.

Ok so 58% left, so used 42% over the course of approx. 120 minutes and 26% of that 42%, or 10% of total battery - then 8% of 42% on Android System, or 3% of the total battery and 6% of the 42%, or 2% used by the Display. Then 50% of the 42% on random assorted things with everything less than 6% individually. Thinking and sharing with some nerds.

The fastest solution would be a hard reset...

If not have you disabled something that maybe it needs to function properly?

Hi irock1985, I haven't disabled anything that I'm aware of. Thanks for your response. Will do a hard reset if I can't resolve the issue.
