Google Assistant Update for S7 (where is it?)

Oh my god! So glad to see that I'm not the only one. I thought I was going crazy. I had Google Assistant all day yesterday on my old Note 5. Today it just disappeared and went back to the old Google Now. Not even sure how it could have gone back like that...

Oh thank god that means there's an issue and it'll be fixed. This is good news lol.

OK folks it's back. I switched the language to English Australian cause I want my digital lady to have a sexy accent. Well that's what did it. It didn't just change the setting on Google it changed it across my device.....And the only way I even noticed it was because my flashlight said torch....So I found it in settings and changed it. Uninstalled Google's update and reinstalled. Boom. Good to go!!!

so now all of my three phones have Google Assistant(Galaxy S7, Note 5, and LG G5)

I don't think Samsung and LG had Google Assistant in mind when they designed the microphones, because these three are MUCH worse than my iPhone 7. The iPhone 7 Siri can correctly hear every word that I say from 25 feet away in my study. The S7, Note 5 and G5, when running Google Assistant, can only understand less than what I'm saying from the same distance. (all four phone on the same desk, me 25 feet away on the couch)

It has to be activate server-side via your Google account.

10.2.98... however, I had that version for over 3 days before Google Assistant just suddenly showed up. Pretty sure it only gets turned on when Google's server says so.

She just arrived on my phone. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (Belgium English US Settings) I don't know if it helped, but I deleted the Google App and just updated it again. After that Google Assistant just appeared.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times you tell people that. It's like they completely ignore the fact

I received Google Assistant today. Here is what I can tell you as fact. It does not matter what device you have, where you live, what carrier you have or what Google App and Google Services version you have as long as they are current and you are running Marshmallow and above. It is all based on each individual Google account and each individual device within that account which dictates when Google Assistant is activated. It is activated on Google's server-side at any moment and at any time. Everyone is scheduled to receive assistant within the next 2 weeks. This information pertains to the U.S. I hope this information is helpful to everyone who is still waiting.

I have it and I hate it. I don't want the assistant to come up when I long press my home button. I want my feed and now cards to come like they used to.

I tried doing the swipe up and don't get the news feed or cards. Can still get the cards if I click on the Google search bar though.
