Google Camera App on the S10

This is why I no longer install software that isn't built for the hardware that I'm using.

I wouldn't pass judgement on the port based on the opinion of one person.
Plenty of people who have used the port are extremely happy on various phones.

You are correct though it in wasn't designed for other phones hardware. One important piece of the puzzle why you can't get as good results on other phones is because the Pixel 2s and 3s have a secondary SOC just for the camera.

Yes, I agree. I'm not suggesting people don't install it, but my rooting, theming and modding days are over. Did it for almost 10 years and how I'm at a point where I just roll stock lol.

But yeah, I've seen people get great results with the gcam port.

Yup
I don't root either

For me, it's worth it when it comes to skin tones. The softening and brightening is a bit much imo on Samsung's side. I probably wouldn't use it much for scenes.

I cant stand the beautification methods of Samsung. I would rather have a detailed photo come out with the option to soften after. Even at the lowest beauty setting there is still smoothening going on.
