Google confirms Verizon will handle updates

Buying a phone from Google, with hardware compromises, hoping to get faster updates and less bloatware, and then hearing this? What is the difference of some Chinese OEM if the software updates would wait a cell phone operator, not THE software company?
Change the G at the back to V!

That's why one should buy the phone directly from Google and don't have to worry about getting updates

I am not as concerned about bloat. Most can be minimized or removed. I am concerned about features changed or altered. I have had LG g4 and most recently the n7 (still have it but switched to my wife's old iPhone 5s, which has completely lived up to all the good and bad, I would never own iPhone stuff) the LG had several features like built in radio, removed. I can't think of what the n7 had but that may be ptsd.
