I have it working..i am running CyanogenMod 10.1 and had to remove the original gallery app in the /system/apps folder then install this one. Works great!

Delete the gallery2.apk file?

Everything works on my HTC One X except HDR.
HDR setting is there, but using it just takes a normal picture.

Any thoughts / direction to getting HDR to work would be appreciated.

I take it that you are not including the photosphere feature in that 'works great' comment - Photosphere is awful on the HTC One. I'm hoping HTC will look at it and tweak it to get it working properly......

Works on my GS4 with stock Android 4.2.2. Everything works great except for the video camera. The resolution is horrendous. When I look at the details, it shows the dimensions as 4128 x 3096. The gallery is awesome!

Anyone have any ideas?

I hope we can get the updated version from 4.3 with the better photosphere. It really doesn't work well at the moment.

That's what I was just wondering - with 4.3 out officially, can we not pull the APK the same way so those of us not on 4.3 can side load the new version?

EDIT: Maybe we have to wait for 4.3 to drop for the GE S4/One I guess? If so I'm a little curious as to why it can be pulled from those phones and not a Nexus device.

Installed on my HTC EVO 3D and the app itself works, but the photospheres don't come out correctly as far as stitching matching up and such. Not sure if anyone else if having this problem or I'm just doing it wrong :/

Is there really a newer version, or was google just late in announcing the improved stitching?
I just updated my Nexus 10 to 4.3. The Gallery (which includes the camera) version is the same as the one I downloaded from here - 1.1.40012.

Ahhh interesting. AC billed it as new with 4.3 but this APK came from 4.2.2 so there might be some confusion there. I think you are probably right based on your version #. Thanks.

Works great on SGS2 T989, but has anyone else noticed the scene menu options are mislabeled? Anybody know how to fix this?

Seems to be working great on Verizon stock Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 running Android 4.1.2 *except* no HDR in the camera options. HDR option is not grayed out, it just isn't there at all.
Other camera options as listed in https://support.google.com/nexus/4/answer/2838995?hl=en page all appear.

Photospheres seem to work ok as long as the subject is far enough away - spheres inside small rooms etc don't work because of parallax problems, but larger scenes seem fine. This seems to match up with what I have seen from Nexus 4 users as far as spheres go, so it seems to be working properly.

Verizon GS3 running CarbonRom 1.8 (4.2.2) on using the CarbonRom stock kernel. I had to uninstall the old gallery first to get this to install. Photosphere worked, but the phone froze and rebooted when taking a picture with the front facing camera.
