Google Fi VPN disabled after restart

Since the Android 13 update, I see that Google FI VPN disables itself after a restart. As a result, I have to open the app and manually reenable it to get it to activate. This never used to be the case. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue, or if it's something unique happening on my phone (Pixel 6 Pro). Thanks.

You should be able to add the VPN Tile to your Quick Settings. https://www.androidcentral.com/how-customize-quick-settings-tiles-android-12.

Thanks. Google Fi VPN isn't available as an option in Quick Settings, as far as I can tell. Even if it were, I don't see how it would fix the issue I'm having with it being disabled after every restart. My phone is long overdue for a factory install, so maybe that will rectify things once I find the time to do it.

I can confirm that google fi vpn is disabled after a system restart, on android 13 pixel 6.

I restart my P6P every night and my Fi VPN remains enabled. Something else is amiss here.

And no, you cannot add it to the quick settings... at least not in Android 13.
