Google Keyboard

I want to test Google's new keyboard. The new version is not on the Play store. I installed the app that is available, but it doesn't show in the Language and Input screen. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Well, updates are pushed phases to phases. Some region will receive the update sooner than other region.

Thanks. I realize that. Even though I installed the older version, it still doesn't show up in the Language and Input section. Why is that?

Missing Google Keyboard

This is a two part post.
1. Does anyone out there have Google Keyboard installed.
2. If so, does it show up in your Language and Input settings? Thanks

I have it on mine. If you have Google keyboard installed, go into your app drawer and click on Google keyboard. If it isn't installed, you will need to go to the play store and install it, Google keyboard doesn't come preinstalled on a stock S5.

I've done all that. It's installed but doesn’t show up in the Language and Input settings sections . What do I need to do? Thanks.

If clicking on it in your app drawer and setting it up isn't working, could try uninstalling and reinstalling it, though I imagine you have tried that already.

Thanks for hanging in there for me. You're right, nothing seems to work .? BTW, do you have the latest version of Google Keyboard? Version 5.0?

Cool. Just know this - APKMirror is the ONLY place, apart from the Play Store, that I will ever get my apps from. Often, because of the way Google staggers their rollouts, I have been 3 versions behind on some apps. APKMirror only lists free apps, never pirated, and every iteration of every Google app at the minimum.

Thanks, but I'm confused with the site you recommend. Right now I'm using SwiftKey, and I just wanted to try Google Keyboard. I'll wait for the Play Store version, but thanks for your help.

Does anyone know when Google will post Google Keyboard 5.0 on the Play store. I'm aware that there is an APK that can be downloaded, but I want to wait for the OTA version from the Play store. Thanks.

It was announced as rolling out a couple of weeks ago, but I still haven't gotten the update on any of my devices (and I have several Nexuseseseses ).

Thanks for posting this. I've been checking daily since I first heard about it a week ago and, of course, still no update. Pretty bad form to share the APK with all of these tech sites and then not release it to the rest of us peasants. Sounds like something krApple would do....

The APKs on those "tech sites" come from users like you and me that actually GET the updates and then share it with the rest of the world. I totally understand the logic behind Google's staged rollouts, but I still don't like it.
