Google Maps Issue

Hi all,


I was wondering if there was something I could do as my Google Maps app ALWAYS shows the arrow pointing in the wring direction than which I'm facing. Generally, the arrow points backwards when I'm actually walking forwards!? I don't know what to do!!

Any help greatly appreciated!

Tap the compass icon in the top right corner of the map and it will orient the map based on the direction you are facing.

You can reset your compass by moving your phone in a horizontal figure eight motion screen-up, but the truth is some devices just don't have very good compasses. My N4 has never been reliable; I just live with it.

You can move you smartphone to find the right direction and using your fingers to expand the area to find some obvious building.
